Athletes in Action
Jordan is a new friend I met after he moved to San Diego from New Zealand. What I love about sports ministries is the impact they have had on so many lives here at Grace. Using sports as a ministry is vital to reaching young people.
Christian Surfers
I love Christian Surfers because it is a great lifestyle evangelism ministry. It’s headed up by David Nehrig, a great guy full of life, and he lives this out well. He is turning surfing into a passionate, purposeful way to reach people who would never step foot in a church.
For The Children
At Grace, we love foster children, and FTR has been putting on Royal Family Kids Camps for years. The young adults at Grace and some others have been involved in the camps for many years, and it looks like we are inheriting a new movement!
Fresh Beginnings Ministries
Don’t get me started on Bill Nelson. He came to Grace and wanted to hide and retire, but his work with Fresh Beginnings and so many other ministries that he’s been a part of has made us all fall in love with him. How could we not help people in our communities get food and other necessities? Thanks to Bill’s leadership, there are many ways to come alongside him and volunteer.
Fristers
I’ve known about Fristers for many years. The name is unique, as it’s a combination of “friends and sisters” who come alongside young single moms. The ministry has blossomed into reaching young dads as well, and they started using our space a couple of years ago for events. Their office is just down the street, so it’s easy to get involved with them.
Groundwire
We pushed Groundwire back in our “Good News – Grace in Action” focus. It’s a great way to reach millennials and others who are isolated and looking for answers online through social media. They join thousands of facilitators as they login to help answer those seeking the truth.
Here to There Movement
Robert has been a friend of mine for a few years, and he has been willing to meet with me anytime over coffee and discuss how to reach the lost in our community. He has done a training for us in the last Grace In Action focus. He feels called to the end of the Earth within the apartment complex communities of Orange County. He and a band of his fellow believers meet to encourage one another in House churches to spread the word and continue reaching those who would never step into a “normal” church.
Horizon Pregnancy Clinic
Here’s a place that is literally saving lives. Their work is measured in heartbeats in breaths. They care for lonely, hurt women who are looking for answers and choosing life. They weep when they lose one, rejoice when they save one, and have grace for everyone.
Reignite Hope OC
Please help us bring the LA-based nonprofit Reignite Hope down into Orange County. We hope to launch Reignite Hope OC, where they will train homeless and incarcerated people how to weld within a month. This certificate will radically change their lives in their families so that at the end of the program, they will have Jesus and a job.
Save The Storks
This ministry breathes innovation. They have helped brick-and-mortar pregnancy centers become mobile and reach those at death’s doorstep. They are bringing the option of life for the first time.
WellSpring
Rob is a great guy whom we met through CIFT and is now running Wellspring, Orange County. Wellspring started up in San Francisco, and Dave Gundlach went through the pastor program. Now it’s here in our backyard, and they are helping to encourage pastors to take care of their souls.
Young Life

Who doesn’t love Young Life? Of course you do. Many people at Grace have come to faith through Young Life and have had great experiences serving in and supporting this organization.
