Recently our elders have been in prayerful conversation about the various spiritual issues facing our church community. One particular issue has emerged that we want to pay attention to as a church family this fall.
In Revelation 3:14-22, Jesus addresses the Christians in Laodicea who, because of their wealth, had adopted an attitude of self-sufficiency and had lost their passion and zeal for the Lord. We feel that given when, where, and how we live, this is a constant danger for us that we want to be awake to.
To that end, we invite you to join us for a month of prayerful examination this September. Each Thursday in September, we will be fasting until dinner and spending time in prayer as we bring this issue before the Lord to see how he might work in each of us.
